improvements in the safety and health of workers at work (Article 6), employers are legally obligated to prioritize Collective Protection Equipment over Personal Protective Equipment.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cgiving collective protective measures priority over individual protective measures\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The legal sequence is strictly established:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>First priority:<\/strong> Collective protection systems, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/siatkibezpieczenstwa.com\/en\/safety-railings\/\"><strong><u>roof guardrails<\/u><\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/siatkibezpieczenstwa.com\/en\/safety-nets\/\"><strong><u>safety netting.<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Last resort:<\/strong> Personal fall protection equipment (harnesses, lanyards, and individual anchor points) when collective protection is physically impossible to implement.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This distinction is practical rather than formal. Collective protection functions passively and continuously\u2014a guardrail or safety net protects everyone entering the hazard area regardless of human behavior. In contrast, an individual anchor point protects a single worker only if that worker is correctly tied off, uses inspected gear, and adequate fall clearance exists below. Each of those three links represents a potential point of human failure.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, before specifying individual anchor points, site planners must always evaluate whether the area can be secured using guardrails or safety nets. Individual anchor points should only be installed where collective protection is genuinely unfeasible.<\/p>\n<p>In the seven-step ladder for choosing protective measures, the anchor point sits on step six out of seven. That does not make it a bad solution \u2014 it makes it the last one to reach for, once the five earlier steps have been ruled out. The standard governs removable devices that can be inspected, maintained, or uninstalled as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).\u00a0In practice, if a supplier offers a &#8220;permanently cast-in EN 795 anchor point,&#8221; it is essential to verify what was tested: the removable anchoring device itself or the structural attachment method. EN 795 standard applies strictly to the former.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-67b6a13 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"67b6a13\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">EN 795:2012 \u2013 five types instead of six classes<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9b85d20 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9b85d20\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>A widespread misconception in technical specifications is referring to Classes A1, A2, B, C, D, and E.
