Roof anchoring and lifelines EN ISO 795 are intended to create safety places to fasten personal protective equipment (PPE) against falling from a height. However, we should always remember that Council Directive 89/391/EEC, defining preventive action principles, prioritizes collective protection equipment (CPE) such as safety railings or safety nets against PPE. Legal provisions clearly state that lifelines, anchor points as well as other roof anchoring devices certified according to EN ISO 795 standard, should only be used when it is not possible to install collective protection equipment (CPE).

European standard EN ISO 795 defines test methods and requirements that roof anchoring devices must meet. If you want to know more about this, we encourage you to read our complete guide on EN ISO 795 anchor points.

In this category, you will find information about: the European standard EN ISO 795 regulating this fall arrest devices, anchor points to secure work at height, etc.
